The Nib Waverley shortlist 2016

We are very pleased to announce that on Sunday 18th September (12.15 in The Saturday Paper Marquee) we will launch a partnership between the St Albans Writers’ Festival and Waverley Council’s Nib Waverley Library Award for Literature. First awarded in 2002, The Nib Waverley Library Award for Literature from Waverley Council has grown into one of the Australia’s most respected awards for writing.  The major prize of $20,000 is awarded to a work of fiction or non-fiction developed through research. Erik Jensen, the 2015 winner, will be interviewed by Suzanne Leal, the chief judge on the 2015 Nib prize panel and currently Friends of the Waverley Library committee member who has recently published her second novel. Suzanne will then reveal the works shortlisted for the 2016 Nib award, each of which wins the Alex Buzo award of $1000.
