David Hunt

David Hunt is an unusually tall and handsome man who likes writing his own bios for writers’ festivals. His first book, Girt: The Unauthorised History of Australia, won the 2014 Indie Award for non-fiction and was shortlisted for the Australian Book Industry Awards and New South Wales Premier’s Literary Awards. The sequel, True Girt was listed for Audiobook of the Year at the ABIA Awards and the Russell Prize for Humour Writing. David’s first children’s picture book, The Nose Pixies, were published in 2016. David has a birthmark that looks like Tasmania, only smaller and not as far south.
