Hellen Rose
Hellen Rose, musician, actor, writer and performance artist is featured in Blood Mystic. She has been Gittoes’ partner for close to a decade and is the only person Gittoes has ever taken to war with him. Rose is the co founder of The Yellow House Jalalabad where she runs Women’s Film Making Workshops in between working in her converted bomb shelter studio known as the Magic Room. Rose is the first European woman to act in Pashto Films and is the first woman to sing to a mixed live audience in 80 years in Afghanistan by singing on stage at the International Woman’s Day celebration in Jalalabad this year under threat from IS and other radicals.
