Simmone Logue

We’re thrilled to have Simmone Logue and her team feeding the festival for the second year running. The weekend’s culinary delights kick off with Friday’s Opening Night Party and a warming curry of braised beef, spinach and eggplant with punchy chilli jam. Then, join us on the Saturday for Dinner with the Writers, where some of our guest authors will reflect on their favourite food writing and Simmone will treat us to a delectable three course meal. You can look forward to twice-baked three-cheese soufflé with pear, rocket and walnut salad, followed by slow-roasted lamb shoulder with red peppers, mint salsa and a red wine jus and a zesty baked lemon tart topped with mascarpone cream and raspberries. If you’re off to the screening of George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road that evening, you won’t miss out, with Simmone packing you a special picnic dinner box for the event. Vegetarian options are available for all dinners and tickets are available here. You can also sample Simmone’s famous café fare at the Festival Hub throughout the weekend. Breakfast on muffins, spinach and feta pie or a classic bacon and egg roll, and come back for the gourmet pissaladière, fresh salads, pies, tasty baguettes and more for lunch. You certainly won’t be able to pass up one of her legendary cupcakes. And don’t forget, the recipes and stories behind most of the food on offer over the weekend can be found in Simmone’s recent cookbook ‘In The Kitchen‘, on sale and available for signing.
